Kimberley MacKenzie has been working with charitable organizations on strategy, business planning and fundraising for 19 years.
Her career started as a volunteer for a national health charity where she lead and facilitated hundreds of peer counselling training programs and support groups. When the opportunity came to transition from volunteer to a paid position Kimberley jumped on the chance and has never looked back.
Known for her ability to see the big picture, navigate conflict and create alignment around new ambitious visions for change. Kimberley’s clients find her to be an inspiring and motivating change agent who dives right into challenging organizational situations and helps develop concrete action plans for change.
For fifteen years Kimberley worked with charities on staff as an Executive Director or Director of Development. In 2014, she launched her own consultancy and has been working with a variety of organizations and volunteer boards on strategic and operational planning ever since.
In terms of thought leadership, Kimberley has been published internationally and nationally. She has served as editor to Canada’s largest not for profit newsletter for two years, was a member of the Rogare Think Tank in Plymouth University (United Kingdom) where she contributed to a comprehensive review of “Relationship Fundraising” and how charities can connect in a more meaningful way with their contsituents.
Locally Kimberley served on the Planned Giving Counsel of Simcoe County as the Director of Education and was a driving force in the early days of international fundraising resource www.sofii.org. Kimberley is an Association of Fundraising Professionals International designated master trainer, Certified Fundraising Executive and an expert in facilitation and strategic development.
